BML donates over 500 face shields to 10 hospitals

Bank of Maldives (BML) on Tuesday donated upwards of 500 face shields to 10 hospitals across Maldives, in order to assist the COVID-19 response of the country.
The national bank expressed hope that the protective equipment will help ensure the safety of employees at the institutions.
"It gives us great pleasure to donate equipment needed to guarantee the safety of health professionals at this interval", said BML.
"It is crucial and much needed to provide equipment to major hospitals within the [dispersed] atolls, during these times".

Hospitals that received the face shields:
- Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) - Male', Kaafu Atoll.
- Haa Alif Atoll Hospital - Dhidhoo, Haa Alif Atoll.
- Noonu Atoll Hospital - Manadhoo, Noonu Atoll.
- Vaavu Atoll Hospital - Felidhoo, Vaavu Atoll.
- Faafu Atoll Hospital - Nilandhoo, Faafu Atoll.
- Thaa Atoll Hospital - Veymandoo, Thaa Atoll.
- Gaafu Alif Atoll Hospital - Villingili', Gaafu Alif Atoll.
- Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital - Ungoofaaru, Raa Atoll.
Reiterating its commitment to safeguarding the health and safety of customers and employees, BML also encouraged users to bank from home for everyday banking, and to use the services available online.
