Nasheed taken back to Dhoonidhoo

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has been escorted to Criminal Court by the police, for the hearing of the terrorism charges pressed against him by the state following the arrest of Criminal Court Judge Abdulla Mohamed.
Nasheed was arrested yesterday and taken to Dhoonidhoo.
As he arrived at the court building this evening, Nasheed appeared to fall at the entrance.
The police spokesperson told Sun Online regarding today’s events, “Reporters at the scene tried to interview a person who was being taken to court while in police custody. This was not allowed by the police officers, who tried to lead him into the court building, and he fell (on his own).”
Nasheed’s legal team has claimed that Nasheed was hurt during the efforts by the police to lead him to court, and a request has been made to allow him to visit a doctor.
