BML requires individuals to have an active account with the bank, an active debit card, as well as a registered email or phone number to be eligible for the service.
Customers were previously required to download the application form on BML's website and email or send a picture of the completed form to customerservice@bml.com.mv
The following applications are provided to BML clients under the bank's menu for internet banking services.
Checking account balance
Customers can check the balance on their accounts and cards as well as view and download account statements.
Payments
BML's internet banking enables customers to make payments for their personal debit cards or loans as well as for other individuals.
Transfers
Transfers can be conducted to personal accounts and bank accounts registered under the names of other individuals at BML, other local banks or foreign banks.
Application for other BML services
The internet banking services can also be utilised to submit applications to open new accounts, debit or credit cards and request BML's Lui Loans. Customers can also update their personal information via internet banking.
The bank offers numerous digital services including internet banking, mobile banking, payment gateway and mobile wallet. While 87 percent of its customers subscribe to internet banking, over 90 percent of all BML transactions are conducted through digital channels.
