Youth Forum begins with over 100 participants

Youth Forum to mark the National Youth Day has begun with more than 100 participants.
The one-day forum at Dharubaaruge was inaugurated this Tuesday morning by Minister of Youth and Sports, Iruthisham Adam.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Iruthisham noted it was the first time for such a forum to be held in the country, and said the purpose of the forum was to increase participation of youth in development and obtain their views on various issues.
“Through this forum, we will share information on opportunities for the youth, the prosperity brought on by President Abdulla Yameen’s administration to the youth, how the opportunities has led to development, and the golden era in the youth agenda which is currently unfolding. And we want to hear your views on this,” said Iruthisham.
The discussion at the Youth Forum will focus on the theme for National Youth Day 2017 – “youth Participation, National Progress”.
Iruthisham said the paper prepared at the Youth Forum will be presented to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. And that an additional discussion on the paper will be held next year.
“We are, In Sha Allah, making arrangements for an international youth forum in the future, based on the experience gained from this forum,” said Iruthisham.
Moderators of the Youth Forum are; the Under Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CEO of Bike Maldives, Ahmed Hassan Didi.
