Former President Nasheed have said that he will return to Maldives very soon.
Speaking to the Indian Express، Nasheed said that he will return soon and is now working to topple the government. He was in Colombo since the last week of August. However he left to London yesterday.
He further said that he has done nothing wrong in Sri Lanka. However when asked if he tried to get President Yameen arrested and topple the government he did not answer that question. He also said that President Yameen can no longer defend the government and an interim government is needed.
He said that to remove President Yameen through the parliament will be nearly impossible. Nasheed nor his party did not reveal what Nasheed was doing in Colombo. Previously even Dr.Jameel was arranged to go to Colombo. But after arrest warrants were issued to arrest Jameel and Nasheed، Jameel cancelled his trip.
