Former President and current president of MDP، Mohamed Nasheed  urged the authorities to investigate the death threats issued on the female Parliamentarians from MDP.
In a tweet he tweeted on Saturday night he urged Maldives Police Service to investigate the case.

Nasheed says that he condemns this and urged Maldives Police Service to investigate the case as soon as possible. The death threats were received by three female MPs of MDP; Galolhu Uthuru MP Eva Abdulla، Mahchah Golhi Uthuru MP Mariya Ahmed Didi and Addu Meedhoo MP Rozeyna Adam.

Message was sent from an unlisted number and loosely translated says، “You will be killed if you are acting that way”.
