A 2 day workshop: “Good services practices in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning” was held in Laamu Atoll this week.
The workshop, which focused on field specific technicians, was organized by Ministry of Environment and Energy in collaboration with Horizon Fisheries Private Limited and Maldives’ National University’s Faculty of Engineering.
Maandhoo Fisheries Complex hosted the training programs that were incorporated in the multi-sectorial workshop.
The main objective of this workshop is to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills on refrigeration and air-conditioning, while creating awareness amongst people who work in the field. Objectives of the workshop further include, providing practical information regarding HCFC phase-out strategy; gas recovery; and the replacement gases.
The workshop held on the 9th and 10th of December 2015, brought together over 30 distinguished participants from various stakeholder sectors.
Certificates of participation were awarded by the Principal of Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani School, Mr Mohamed Shaukat.
