Hulhuhenveyru Constituency MP Reeko Moosa Manik has called on MDP to root out traitors from the party ranks.
Speaking in today’s Parliament session, Moosa Manik said that the Party President Mohamed Nasheed now counts individuals who had been declared by the Party as traitors, in his inner circle. He also said that many who had been key suspects in the murder of Parliamentarian Dr. Afrasheem Ali are now in the forefront at the Party.
MP Moosa said that there were around 80,000 individuals from nations such as Bangladesh, entered Maldives illegally. He said that there was no way of ascertaining that these individuals were involved in legal activities.
He said the expatriates in the country have to be vetted in order to prevent acts of terrorism.
