Talks with China regarding the China-Maldives FTA very successful: Muhammad Saeed

Economic Minister Muhammad Saeed have said that the final round of talks with China on establishing a free trade agreement between China and Maldives has concluded and the final agreement will be very beneficial to Maldives.
Minister said that China will not take any duties from mari-culture and fish products of the Maldives. In addition, he said that if some raw materials are imported from abroad and still around 30-40% of the production work is done in the Maldives, China will not take any duty from such products.
Minister said that this will allow Maldives to import products like shrimp and then export it to China. Minister said that this is a golden opportunity to improve the productivity of the nation.
Minister Saeed said that the discussions were so successful due to the efforts of President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom.
