Head of all party talks from the government, Fisheries Minister Dr. Muhammad Shainee have said that even PPM should nominate representatives for party talks via the party council.
Speaking to the press Dr.Shainee said that, it is not a demand by the government but rather a mechanism to make sure that the parties are more responsible and serious about the talks.
“If we do not do this, then after the party talks some parties might say that the party does not recognize the decisions or agreements made at the party talks and the party did not take part in the talks. Also they miught say the members took part in the talks are not representatives from the party. Then again the party dialogues will fail. That is why we decided that the representatives should be nominated via the Party council” said Dr.Shainee
Speaking about the issue of Farish Maumoon being nominated by PPM, Dr.Shainee said that there are members among the party council that believes that Farish Maumoon is not a member of PPM hence it is crucial that the representatives of the parties are nominated by the council to avoid future complications.
