Maaz Saleem summoned by police over case filed by Children's Ombudsperson's Office

Ahmed Saleem (Maaz Saleem) has been ordered to appear before the police regarding remarks made about the President's son.
Saleem is being summoned for allegedly supporting and encouraging remarks made by senior MDP activist Mariyam Zubair (Mandhi) about President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's son.
According to the summons chit, Saleem is scheduled to present himself at the Henveiru police station at 8:30 pm tonight
The Children’s Ombudsperson’s Office filed the case over the alleged remarks degrading the dignity of a child. Saleem will be questioned and his statement taken as part of the investigation.
The Children’s Ombudsperson’s Office had previously expressed concern over a video broadcasted from an MDP rally, where the remarks were made.
The President’s family has since decided to sue Mariyam, MDP Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail, and the MDP party over these statements directed at the President's son.
