A Chinese woman, Su Xiaoning, aged 30, has been reported missing in the Maldives.
Police said Su Xiaoning's family had not been in contact with her since she arrived in the Maldives on October 23 last year. Concerned about her safety, her family lodged a complaint with the police through the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives on 22nd of this month.
Police said Su arrived in the Maldives on a tourist visa, and checked into a local guesthouse in Male’ on October 24. There is no record that she has departed from the country. Police said they have not been able to find any information regarding her current location and well0being.
Authorities have shared information on the missing woman has with all relevant police departments to track her down. Anyone with information about Su Xiaoning is asked to contact the Serious and Organized Crime Investigation duty number at 9911099.
