The Maldives Media Institute (MMI), operated under Public Service Media PSM, has concluded a three-day training programme taught by experienced Indian producers.
The training started last Friday and concluded on Sunday. The programme’s closing ceremony was attended by television and radio producers, journalists and media personnel from other companies in the country.
A total of 100 individuals took part in the training, including 80 PSM employees and 20 participants from other media outlets.
Speaking on the programme, Executive Director of Human Resources and Corporate at PSM, Mohamed Jinah said the programme was designed to improve the quality of PSM employees and enhance the skills of those working in the media industry of the Maldives. He said similar programmes are planned for the future.
"We are working in partnership with Limkokwing University. An agreement has been signed between the management and the university. With that, many media programmes will be introduced at MMI," Jinah said.
