Bank of Maldives (BML), on Saturday, revealed that several of its staff members organized activities to support local communities in Felidhoo, Vaavu Atoll, Fonadhoo, Laamu Atoll and Kulhudhuffushi, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
In Felidhoo, BML employees cleaned up the area which leads to 'Masfengandu', a popular recreational spot among the island's residents. The employees have also planned to construct a platform for visitors at 'Masfengandu'.
Staff from the BML branch in Fonadhoo repainted the walls around the children’s park in the island while the Kulhudhuffushi branch team built huts, benches and swings in the beach area.
The aforementioned efforts were conducted to celebrate the International Day of Happiness which is marked on March 20, and was organized by atoll branch teams and volunteers.
More than 30 volunteers participated in the community work carried out in the three islands.
