Kandima Maldives has started preparing for to welcome the festive Chinese New Year celebrations at the resort.
Maldives Insider reports the resort is preparing for an extravagant festival to celebrate the beginning of Chinese New Year, which starts on February 5. Kandima Maldives has geared up several activities to commemorate the event.
For the Chinese, this is the ‘Year of the Pig’ which would begin with the new moon that appears between January 21 and February 20. Also referred as the ‘Spring Festival’ the event is mainly observed by Chinese people worldwide.
The five-star resort is preparing celebrate Chinese New Year with special and authentic Chinese cuisine along with other festive activities.
Maldives resorts become a hot stop for Chinese holidaymakers every year to celebrate their traditional new year. Most of the local resorts are known for their extravagant celebratory activities during the Spring Festival.
Tourism Ministry of Maldives reported that by end of November 2018, the island nation was visited by 266,376 Chinese holidaymakers.
