Bank of Maldives (BML) which announced opening its branches and service centers thrice every week, further confirmed their non-digital services will be rendered through appointments.
According to the national bank, customers in Male’ City can request for appointments prior to visiting the bank’s branches or service centers for services that have not been facilitated via online or self-service banking options.
Previously, the bank allowed customers to make appointments to visit its branches to collect debit/credit cards.
As per BML, customers who wish to make appointments for such services can apply for appointments via the bank’s online portal. Additionally, customers can book for an appointment via an SMS as well.
Customers requesting to book appointments via SMS must type the key-word for specific branches followed by national ID card number, and send the message to 455.
However, the bank further noted that the appointments will be permitted after assessment from Maldives Police Service.

Moreover, Maldives Police Service will send via their SMS account the permit following the request for an appointment to BML has been approved. Customers should visit the specified branch during the police permitted hour.
According to BML, they will be rendering service for the booked appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 09:00hrs to 14:00hrs.

Additionally, services such as applying for lifestyle, study, home and home construction loans will be made available from Loan Center at Male’ City.
Meanwhile, BML has facilitated applying for its Lui Express and Lui Micro loans through its internet banking services.
Furthermore, BML has advised its customers to practice social distancing while attending the bank’s branches and service centers and wear protective face masks at all times.
Moreover, customers are requested to bring their own pens for bearing signatures or filling applications as well as use hand-sanitizers utilized at the service centers or branches.
