Health Minister Nazim have stated that, the government will not accept any patient to suffer as a result of negligence from medical service providers.
He made this statement at the opening ceremony of the symposium organized by ADK hospital to discuss on ways to improve the quality of health services in Maldives.
Nazim said that all the country will face problems in delivering medical services, but something happening due to negligence is different.
The minister said that from time to time such cases arise and the hospitals should try to minimize these cases. He said that it is not something easy to achieve but with enough work it can be solved. In addition, the minister said that it is very important for medical institutions in Maldives to gain the trust of the people.
He said that, the trust can be gained by reducing such cases and that it should be the greatest responsibility of the service providers to reduce such cases.
