Court trial of the hit and run pick-up driver who barged through police ranks during the infamous Mayday clashes near MMA area، had concluded with journalists barred from entering chambers.
Ibrahim Basith، Alimasge، S. Hithadhoo is prosecuted by the state for terrorism charges over his alleged offense on 1st of May. The court hearing was scheduled for 11:00hrs today morning.
Although journalists had earlier registered their names to receive permission to enter courtroom chambers for the trial، the court hearing had proceeded without allowing access to them.
Recent court cases had been proceeded after journalists were denied entry into courtroom chambers to witness the trials.
Journalists were also barred from chambers over Arham’s murder trial scheduled at 11:00hrs today while Ziyadham’s murder trial had followed suite as well.
