MDP’s Chairperson Ali Waheed claims he will not allow any room for the party to fall apart over the rumors of some individuals trying to break apart the party.
Ali Waheed states that even though their leader Mohamed Nasheed is in jail، MDP will proceed forth with the instructions and guidance of former President himself، and there will be no room for anyone to disperse the party. Adding MDP’s continued fight to protect Constitutional law will always go on without any hindrance.
“A lot of rumors have been brewing at this point، and it is to deviate the members of our party while everyone is under stress of a very delicate situation in order to drive us apart، but we will not answer to such hoaxes” Ali Waheed said.
He made the statement while giving an interview in a live program broadcast from Raajje TV، where he also added that MDP’s aim is to strive for a government run by the people of the nation، and there effort will stay put، furthermore highlighting their attempt to free Mohamed Nasheed will not cease، with supporters and party members standing right beside their leader during such trying times، much like his previous altercations with the law.
