Mohamed Ilmu, the 18-year-old who was injured in a motorcycle accident in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City, on February 24, remains on a ventilator support, IGMH said today.
Ilmu, a resident of Maradhoo Feydhoo, was practicing for the "Enmenge Drag Championship" when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a pillar of a house under construction.
Initially treated at Addu Equatorial Hospital, he was transferred to Male' for advanced medical care due to the severity of his condition.
An IGMH media official speaking with Mihaaru News said that he remains on a ventilator, though details of his injuries were not disclosed.
Recently, a 24-year-old who went to Addu City to take part in the racing championship lost his life after crashing into the fence bend on Hankede Bridge in Addu City on February 26.
