Foreign Minister concludes official visit to Serbia

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has concluded his two-day official visit to Serbia from May 8 -10. The visit aimed to enhance bilateral ties between the Maldives and Serbia.
During the visit, Minister Shahid paid a courtesy call on the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić. During the meeting, Minister Shahid conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. He also expressed the government's eagerness to work closely with Serbia on enhancing cooperation in the fields of tourism, trade, and sports, following the signing of key agreements.
Furthermore, Minister Shahid had an official meeting with his Serbian counterpart First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić. One of the key highlights of the visit was the signing of several bilateral agreements that will foster cooperation in various fields, including trade, sports, and people-to-people connections. These agreements serve as a testament to the commitment of both countries to strengthen their ties and work together for mutual growth and prosperity. Minister Shahid expressed confidence that the agreements signed during this visit would provide a solid foundation for deeper cooperation and forge new avenues for economic cooperation between the Maldives and Serbia.
