Ministry of Islamic Affairs set this year’s price for Hajj Pilgrimage at MVR 69،969.
A special ceremony was held today at Islamic Ministry to hand over the permit for Hajj Pilgrims transportation، under which 3 companies received permission for this year.
State Minister of Islamic Ministry، Dr. Muhammad Ali said، Ministry has set this year’s standard pilgrim fee at MVR 69،969.
The three companies who received permission under the pilgrim transport service are، Zaee Group، Sisilfaru Hajj-Umra group and Mina’a Hajj and Umra group.
The three groups were selected after an evaluation process to select the optimum best proposals received to Ministry.
This year، Maldives received a quota of 800 packs for Hajj pilgrimage، with Maldivian Hajj Corporation entitled to 50% of the quota under the Maldivian Pilgrimage Act، 400 quotas are assigned to the group while the remaining 400 quota are equally distributed among the permitted 3 groups، with each holding a quantity of 134 packs.
