The Bank of Maldives (BML) has made permanent its decision to increase the amount of money which can be withdrawn from ATMs, initiated in during Ramadan.
The daily amount which can be withdrawn using Amex Gold card has been increased from MVR10,000 to MVR15,000; and the daily amount which can be withdrawn from Visa Debit card and Amex Green card has been increased from MVR5,000 to MVR10,000.
According to BML, this decision was made following the requests of several customers based on their experience during Ramadan.
BML also noted that this would result in several conveniences for its customers, but at the same time advised them to keep ATM card pin numbers confidential.
BML has been making efforts to expand its ATM services including the installation of new ATMs, bringing the total number of BML ATMs to 46.
