Rilwan’s family has submitted a case to the Civil Court, requesting for information about the investigation regarding his disappearance. A statement released by Rilwan’s mother Aminath Eesa, states that the case was filed to the court on 12th December 2016 and the trail has already begun.
The statement says that, even though police investigated the case, they did not share any information regarding the case to Rilwan’s family. In addition, it said that they have tried various methods to obtain information regarding the case and so far the state has not done much to help them.
Rilwan disappeared more than 2 years ago, and various international organizations also called to investigate the matter properly.
