Former President and the opposition leader، Mohamed Nasheed has stated that no Maldivian will ever believe that he is a terrorist.
Former president Nasheed speaking during the hearing held on Thursday has said the huge support to him during the last presidential election will be a proof that the public، too، will deny the terrorism charges against him.
He further alleged the terror charges against him and the court proceedings are all for a political gain executed against the opposition.
In addition، former President Nasheed stated that he has never given an order to harm any Maldivian or to detain one.
Former President Nasheed is charged with terrorism in suspect of unlawful arrest of the chief justice of Criminal Court Abdulla Mohamed during his presidential term in 2012.
