Maldives Islamic Bank has reported that their branch in Gaaf Dhaal Thinadhoo will open on April 2nd.
This will be the third branch of the bank to open in the country. The bank currently operates in Male’ and Addu City.
Maldives Islamic Bank’s CEO Haris Haroon said the preparations were under way for opening a branch in Kulhudhuffushu and that the branch in Hulhumale’ was nearing completion. He added that the branch will begin operations when HDC opens the complex.
Islamic Bank is the first bank in the country to operate on Islamic Sharia principles and one of the fastest growing banks in the country as well.
