Arnoud van Doorn, former member of the Party for Freedom in Netherlands and a former antagonist of Islam has said that he does not want to please anyone except Allah.
Van Doorn, who until the end of 2011, was a strong supporter of Geert Wilders, the Dutch leader who created the anti-Islamic film ‘Fitna’. The film that released in 2008 hurt the sentiments of Muslims around the world and caused a lot of furor in Muslim nations.
He made this remark speaking at the lecture held in Maldives regarding why he converted to Islam.
Van Doorn said that his quest to produce another anti-Islam film, he took to learning more about the religion that he strongly advocated against.
He read and learned in depth the Holy Quran and Islamic teachings and later became spiritually inspired by Islam.
Van Doorn said that he found in Islam what he was lacking and searching for in his previous life. He went for Hajj to ask Allah for forgiveness and to pray that Allah erases his past sins.
He said that it is his wish to live in Al-Madinah close to the Prophet’s mosque; however his family and work hinder him from fulfilling his wish.
The news about the conversion to Islam of Arnoud Van Doorn, former vice-chairman for Geert Wilders, famous Dutch anti-Islam politician, had a great reverberations on the media.
Geert Wilders is famous for muslims through his PVV party notorious movie, Fitna, which has been commissioned against Prophet of Islam and Geerts had insulted Islam.
