The youth who sustained serious injuries in the dangerous road accident in Addu City Hithadhoo today evening is being transferred to Malé for further medical attention.
The accident took place at 16:30 today near ‘Koahere’ Cafe’، after a speeding motorcycle lost control and skid on the road. Although one more person was injured in this incident، that person did not receive any serious injuries.
Both the youth are been treated at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.
The youth who sustained serious injuries in this accident is 20 year old Mohamed Afzal. He has received severe head injury and blood is flowing out from his head and ears as well. The other youth only sustained scratches on his skin and no further injuries.
Police are investigating this accident further.
