Two hearings related to Naazim’s jail sentence which was appealed at the Supreme Court has been scheduled for next week.
The first hearing will take place on Tuesday morning at 11000 hours. The next hearing will take place the following Wednesday at the same time. The Monday’s hearing is to give the state a chance to answer the allegations made by Nazim’s lawyers. The Wednesday’s hearing will be about taking a decision whether to allow Nazim to submit new evidences and witnesses. Usually in appeal cases new witnesses and evidence cannot be submitted unless the judge allows it.
In the first hearing of this case، Nazim’s lawyer Suood said that they found new evidence which proves that the pistol found in Nazim’s apartment was planted by a policeman.
