China donates PCR machine, testing kits to Tree Top Hospital

The Chinese Embassy has donated a PCR machine and Covid-19 testing kits to Tree Top Hospital.
The donation was handed over to the hospital by the Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Lixin. Tree Top Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Adil Moosa and Managing Director Ahmed Nazeer received donations.
At the handover ceremony, the hospital’s CEO thanked the Chinese government for its continued assistance in the development of the Maldives' health sector. He also thanked China for its aid during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the ceremony the hospital’s Managing Director said that the Tree Top Hospital’s priority is to provide top-class services to patients. He also added that the hospital is the culmination of four major tourism corporations in the Maldives in realising their dream of medical industry growth.
The Chinese ambassador reaffirmed that her country would continue to support the growth of the Maldivian health sector. She also hoped that the donations would improve hospital service standards.
