Maldives’ New High Commissioner to New Zealand Presents Credentials, Pledges to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

The newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to New Zealand, Mohamed Luveiz, has presented his Letter of Credence to the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over New Zealand, The Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro, at a ceremony held on Wednesday at the Government House in Wellington.
During the ceremony, High Commissioner Luveiz conveyed greetings and good wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to the Governor General. High Commissioner Luveiz also assured his commitment to further strengthen the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries during his tenure.  
High Commissioner Luveiz was accompanied by Second Secretary at High Commission of Maldives in Singapore, Jalala Saleem.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Mohamed Luveiz as the Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Maldives to New Zealand on 18 March 2025. High Commissioner Luveiz currently serves as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Singapore.
