Adhaalath Party will continue to support the gov't: Minister Imran

Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has affirmed Adhaalath Party will continue to support the government while maintaining and following the party's policies and objectives. Minister Imran, who is the leader of the Adhaalath Party, made the statement in his speech to inaugurate a drive to increase the party membership.
Home Minister Imran said Adhaalath Party will continue to support the government in accordance with the party policies and objectives, and that it is willing to work with opposition parties as well. The minister said Adhaalath Party's objective is to develop and maintain a social and political system in the Maldives that is based on religious values. He also said Adhaalath Party's vision since its foundation is to establish a fair and complete system of governance in the country based on Islamic laws. The party will remain steadfast in protecting the country's independence, he added.
Adhaalath Party has begun a drive to increase the party membership to 10,000 members to qualify for state funding.
