Maldives Police have reported 45 road accidents across Male', the Sinamale' Bridge, and the highway between November 16 and 22, with three people injured and 37 vehicles damaged.
According to police data, 42 of the accidents occurred in Male', while three were reported on the Sinamale' Bridge and highway. The highest number of incidents was recorded on Thursday, with 10 accidents, followed by eight on Saturday.
Of the total, two accidents resulted in serious injuries, while the remaining 43 were classified as minor.
Police statistics show that most accidents occurred during daytime hours, with 33 incidents reported between morning and evening, and 12 at night.

The most common types of collisions involved motorcycles and cars, followed by motorcycle-to-motorcycle crashes.
While last week’s accidents were mostly non-fatal, police noted that serious incidents do occur. On November 10, a young man was killed in a collision between two motorcycles in the second phase of Hulhumale'.
Police continue to publish weekly accident statistics to raise public awareness and encourage safer driving practices.
