Ihavandhoo Council Opens Registration for Rasthari Quran Competition 2025

The Ihavandhoo Council has announced the opening of registration for the Rasthari Quran Competition 2025, inviting participants from across Haa Alifu Atoll to take part in the prestigious event.
Organized with the aim of nurturing a love for the Holy Quran, enhancing recitation skills, and promoting healthy competition among Quran reciters, the Rasthari Quran Competition will be held in HA. Ihavandhoo from November 27 to 29, 2025.
In its public announcement, the Ihavandhoo Council stated that councils from islands within Haa Alifu Atoll wishing to participate must submit the designated registration form to the Ihavandhoo Council Office before 14:00 on Thursday, October 30.
The competition offers attractive prizes, including an Umrah trip for top performers. The first-place winner will receive MVR 10,000, while the first-place island will also be awarded MVR 10,000.
Through this initiative, the Ihavandhoo Council aims to inspire greater engagement with the Quran and encourage excellence in its recitation across the atoll.
