80 applications received for Maldives Expo 2026

The Business Center Corporation (BCC) has received 80 applications so far for Maldives Expo 2026, following the opening of submissions earlier this month.
The exhibition provides a platform for artisans, small and medium enterprises, digital creators and innovators from across the Maldives to showcase their work.
Speaking on a PSM News programme, BCC Chief Strategic Officer Mariyam Nasha said last year’s exhibition received a strong response from both participants and the public.
She noted that the previous expo featured more than 2,500 products from 250 exhibitors, expressing confidence that this year’s event will see similar or greater participation.
“We opened applications for this year’s exhibition on the 8th of this month. So far, 80 applications have been received,” she said.
The upcoming exhibition will also be open to government companies, associations and educational institutions.
The event aligns with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s declaration of the year as the “Year of Productivity”, with BCC stating that the expo will serve as a key opportunity for local producers and creatives.
Maldives Expo 2026 is scheduled to take place from 23 to 31 October at Central Park in Hulhumalé.
