Notable Creative Team
Based on a story by Yashfa Abdul Ghani, “Kanbulo” features a screenplay by Mahdi Ahmed and is directed by Hussein Munawwar. Significantly, the original story won the National Award for Best Long Story in a competition held by the National Centre for Linguistic and Historical Research in 2009.
This marks the fourth collaboration between director Munawwar and screenwriter Mahdi. Their most recent project, “Kamana,” released in 2024, received widespread critical acclaim and audience appreciation.
