Adeeb and Paapa have said that the charges against them in the Hibalhidhoo case is not clear. They said it today during the first hearing of the case. The state is charging them for terrorism after weapons were found in Hibalhidhoo.
The state is charging 5 individuals regarding the case. The other people are، Mohamed Hussein Oittey، Mohammed Allam Moho and Ahmed Ishfag Ali. During today’s hearing both Adeeb and Paapa said that the charges are not clear and there are several errors in the charges.
Both of them requested to appoint a lawyer. The judge said that the next hearing will be on 3rd August and they have until then to appoint a lawyer. The others accused in the case were not present to the court. The state asked to carry on the hearing without them. They are believed to be living abroad now.
The state said that Paapa doctored some documents in the armory in an attempt to smuggle weapons out side. The charges against Adeeb include keeping weapons and explosives in his apartment. According to the state، Adeeb and others took the weapons to Hibalhidhoo.
Interpol have issued a red notice for Allam and Ishfah. So far they have not been apprehended.
