The People’s Majlis member for Thimarafushi electorate، MP Mohamed Musthafa، has slammed Home Minister Umar Naseer over the attack on ex-President Mohamed Nasheed’s Lawyer، Uz. Mahfooz Saeed.
On a tweet posted last night، Musthafa said that “just condemning an attack which occurred during daylight will not solve anything” and added that ‘home minister should take the responsibility’.
On the consecutive tweet، MP Musthafa said that “it is the constitutional responsibility of the home minister to ensure safety of this country”.
Furthermore، on the last tweet، MP Musthafa said that “if the responsibilities as the head of a ‘major’ ministry cannot be fulfilled، it would be best to resign and ‘serve the family’ at home”.
Meanwhile، Minister Umar Naseer posted a tweet، condemning the attack on Lawyer Mahfooz and sworn to bring the perpetrators to justice.
