Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Imran Abdulla has said that all should stand up for the rights of the people.
Sheikh Imran made this remark speaking at the Fasmanzaru program of VTV. He said that the government is traversing a path that cannot be tolerated by the people.
“With the amendments made to the constitution it is impossible to implement it. In addition to that individual rights are being violated. Corruption has become rampant in the government. These are the concerns of the people,” he said.
Sheikh Imran said that the Adhaalath Party joined the government to bring prosperity to the people and to eradicate corruption.
Sheikh Imran said that the Adhaalath Party will have to do what is necessary today too now that the government has changed its direction.
“We will not stay silent and let the nation be destroyed. We will voice out the concerns of the people,” he said.
The President of the Adhaalath Party said that the people are living in terror today. He said that there is no security and safety in the country.
“Although there are talks of development and progress, all of that has been stopped. We are facing more economical challenges. We have lost peace and stability,” he said.
He said that Adhaalath Party has decided to make the government accountable and responsible for their actions.
He said that the party met the President in this regard and shared their concerns to him.
