Govt. says they are discussing to include Nasheed، Imran in all-party talks

The Government has stated that it is holding discussions to include former president Mohamed Nasheed and the president of Adhaalath Party Sheikh Imran Abdulla in the Political Party Talks.
Speaking to the media on Sunday afternoon، Minister of Fisheries Dr. Mohamed Shainee  said that the administration had met with delegates from the United Nations who are currently visiting Maldives on invitation from the President and that the role of the visiting delegates from the UN would be to hold dialogue with Political Parties، and relevant institutions، to create a conducive atmosphere to reconvene the all-party talks.
Moreover، the Minister said that he had briefed the UN delegates on the administration’s perspective.
Additionally he highlighted that the administration had called for all-party talks without any preconditions and again urged all parties to work towards an agreement so that the government could maintain stability; and the President could focus on implementing his economic and social agenda.
