Being held and prosecuted for terrorism charges in relation to the suspect wrongful detention of Criminal Court Chief Judge Abdulla Mohamed in 2012 during his presidency – MDP loyalists rallied on motorbikes around the capital city, Male’; while PPM loyalists rallied holding up placards calling for immediate prosecution of Nasheed. MDP loyalists held up placards and called out for Nasheed’s immediate release during the motorbike rally which started and ended in Usfasgandu, while PPM loyalists demonstrated in front of Prosecutor General Muhthaz Muhsin’s residence and ended the rally near PPM headquarters. Nasheed has been ordered into police custody until end of his trial.
