New scheduled flights to India, China and Europe will begin this year : MACL

MACL have said that airlines of China, Europe and India have expressed interest in operating flights to Maldives and they will start scheduled flights this year.
Speaking to the press the MD of MACL Adhil Moosa said that 2 cities of India, one city of China and one country of Europe is talking with MACL to start scheduled flights. “ Flights from Europe will begin in around October-November. Flights to India will begin in mid-2017 and the Chinese airline have not given any specific date yet “ said Adhil.
Adhil said that the financial state of MACL is in good standing even now and even though they have paid GMR claims, they still have the capacity to manage the company without any difficulties. “ If our financial state is bad how could we conduct such mega projects. If it were so, we would be forced to do only what is necessary” said Adhil.
