Islamic University of Maldives and Sultan Shareef Ali Islamic University of Brunei has signed a historic memorandum of understanding to work together.
The MOU was signed during the visit of IUM Chancellor Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed to Brunei. In a special ceremony held tonight, the rector of Sultan Shareef Ali Islamic University His Excellency Dr. Haaji Nur Arfan Bin Haji Zainal signed on behalf of the university.
The ceremony was attended by senior figures of various educational institutions around the world. The chief guest of the ceremony was the Education Minister of Brunei, Pehin Dato Haji Osman.
Under the MOU, IUM and Sultan Shareef Ali Islamic University will have student exchange programs, conduct workshops, collaborate on developmental and research projects, exchange of academic staffs, and exchange of publications among other things.
Islamic University of the Maldives said that because of this MUO both the universities will immensely benefit.
Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed is visiting Brunei to participate as a special guest at the convocation ceremony of Sultan Shareef Ali University.
