High Court had requested to amend، and then file the appeal case of the former defense minister Colonel Rtd. Nazim، who is serving 11 years in prison on charges of possessing dangerous weaponry، says the legal team of Nazim.
Speaking to the press today، Lawyer Maumoon Hameed said that they had previously amended the appeal case as well، as the High Court requested. He said the court had requested to amend it again.
Maumoon further said the appeal case will be filed before 7th May after amending it.
The lawyers team had highlighted several issues in the appeal case، including the procedural errors، not summoning the witnesses of Nazim، invalidity of the charges pressed، conflicts of the State testimonies، and proceeding the trial without following the regulations cited by the higher courts.
