Ahmed Marzooq the secretary general of Maldives Olympic Committee has said that STO’s name can be seen from all the sporting activities in Maldives.
He said that among companies in Maldives, STO helps most in sport activities. Marzooq said that he remembers when all football players in the Maldives had STO’s name on their jerseys. In addition, he said that STO does not only give sponsors but takes initiative in promoting sports.
Marzooq highlighted the Bashi tournament held by STO every year.
The MD of STO Ahmed Shaheer said that if all the companies in Maldives cooperate and work together, sports in Maldives can be taken to the next level. Shaheer said that STO spends a lot on sports, and they want to see Maldivians cheering when Maldivian athletes win at an international level.
