The hearings of the trail of the murder of Mohamed Ibthihal is to begin today.
The boy was found dead in VaavuRakeedhoo with multiple physical injuries.
The state had filed two cases against Ibthihal’s mother, Afiya Mohamed. The first case is a premeditated murder and the other case is that of neglect and refusal to obey orders.
In the investigations of the trial Afiya had admitted to the murder of her son. Doctors had stated that he had died due to the injuries he had sustained.
