With the support from the BML Community Fund an outdoor reading park has been opened at Sh. Milandhoo School.
The park was developed by by island-based NGO, Milandhoo Sports Club as part of Milandhoo School’s 75th Anniversary with the aim of instilling a love for reading.
Regarding the project vice president of Milandhoo Sports Club and the winner of the project Ahmed Sameeh stated that they hope that with this effort, the students get the opportunity and space to experience and comprehend the importance of reading. He also appreciated the cooperation of BML and the Women’s Empowerment Organization in Milandhoo for this initiative.
Bank of Maldives recently announced the 10 winning proposals for the first phase of its Community Fund for the year. The Community Fund is a program to empower NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects. As of today, the Bank has provided financial assistance for 90 projects across the country through this Fund.
