Dhiraage has pledged MVR 150,000 to support children in State care.
Customers are also welcome to contribute towards the cause, Dhiraagu said, announcing that donations can now be made via the Dhiraagu App.
Donations can be made to either Fiyavathi or Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa. While Fiyavathi homes children in the Male' area, Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa support children across the atolls.
Dhiraagu said that customers can choose preset amounts for the donations, ranging from MVR 10 to MVR 500. Prepaid customers can make donations through using their remaining prepaid balance, they said.
The donations will be utilized for enhancing study rooms, installing turf in play areas, skill development programmes and job readiness programmes, Dhiraagu cited the Family and Children's Service Centres as having decided.
"With Ramadan being a time of giving and compassion, supporting children residing in shelters who are separated from their families, makes Donate On DhiraaguApp initiative especially timely and meaningful, fostering care and connection during the holy month," Dhiraagu's announcement reads.
