Mohamed Zuhair, the former Press Secretary under former president Mohamed Nasheed’s rule.
Maldives Police Service issued a notice searching for Mohamed Zuhair, the former Press Secretary of former president Mohamed Nasheed’s government, over a Civil Court case.
The notice on the police’s official website with Zuhair’s picture states that Zuhair did not answer the lower court’s summons to trial over the ongoing case. Subsequently, the Civil Court ordered the police to take Zuhair under custody and present him to court.
Zuhair is to be appear before the court by November 16.
Rumoured to be currently living in neighbouring Sri Lanka, the Civil Court case against Zuhair was filed by Bank of Maldives Ltd (BML) though details of the lawsuit have not been disclosed
