Police Commissioner Ismail Naveen honoured at retirement ceremony

The retirement of the Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen has been marked with a special ceremony.
Ismail Naveen, who has served 32 years in the police force, was appointed Commissioner of Police (CP) on 10 June last year. He retired from his the police force on 18 February.
The event honoring Naveen was attended by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihsan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikuree, and commissioned officers. Naveen was presented with a plaque of honour, which is traditionally given to commissioners who retire with honour. The plaque includes the Commissioner’s colours, medals, uniform items, and police identity card.
Throughout his long career in the police force, Naveen worked across multiple departments of the Maldives Police Service, including operational, investigative, administrative, and support roles. Prior to his appointment as CP, he served as the Deputy Commissioner.
